MDK VSCode - Unable to Debug (Error processing "launch")

Hello,

I want to debug the MDK application using VSCode editor (launch using Android), but facing some issues.

I was expecting to see and android emulater while debugging.

Reference blog - https://blogs.sap.com/2018/08/07/debugging-apps-made-easy-with-the-mobile-development-kit-extension-for-vs-code/

Steps to recreate -

1) Create MDK: New Application

Now without editing anything I just want to debug the newly created application.

2) MDK: Validate Application

3) Run Build Task

4) Debug Perspective

a) Create a launch.json file -> Choose MDK

b) 4 configurations were created

now give appRoot

5)

A) MDK Launch on Android

is resulting in the following error

Requesting your guidance.

Thanks & Regards,
Shubham

    Hi Subham,

The appRoot has to point to your NativeScript project path that corresponds to your branded MDK client app. In the blog which you are currently referring look at Debugging point #1 which says "specify the attribute appRoot as the NativeScript project path that corresponds to your branded MDK client app, and save the file."

Please refer the document to build your client.

    Regards,

    Ashish
