Business Catalog Deletion Audit Trace

Hi,

I want to find when a business catalog was deleted, is this recorded in any table?

Thanks,

Michael

    Hey Michael

I haven't had to track one but I do like to ponder these things (sad I know!)

    1. Check for PFCG role clean up change documents for any removal of the catalog from roles (sometimes they reference a change or ticket in PFCG descriptions)

    2. See if you can get versioning via SE80 for Webyndpro - R3TR WDCC - Component Configuration as the Catalog is stored that way (in a transport or $TMP)

    3. Look in E071/E070 transport tables or via SE01/SE09 objects in request for the R3T3 WDCC to see if there is a deletion entry (not sure what it would look like)

    4. See if SLG1 captures any events

Here's a bunch of screen shots and table information I have previously tracked for this

Example screen shot of SE80 for searching Webdynpro > Component Configuration

XML display gives all the catalog content

Here's a table mapping I did for the chip information but it's really SE80 or the /UI2/FLPD* or /UI2/FLPCM* transactions to see Catalog Content.

I see a lot of questions as to how to extract information

Not sure how much this will help you investigate

This blog gives a trick to recreate and leverage version management for delete object. I assume you have to recreate the key which is a GUID value and not the catalog name

Love to hear how you go!

    Cheers

    Colleen

    Hi Colleen,

Thanks a lot for coming back. Funnily enough the steps you mentioned were my first 'go-to' steps also, I wasn't able to put anything conclusive together. The objects dont seem to exist anymore at all, and there is one centralized table that I could query, rolling back to task also is a no go as we dont know which TP it was in. Anyway, i have a ticket open with Development now, I think this would be a must have feature for reporting/auditing for S/4. I see it being requested more and more as the adoption rate rises.

    UPDATE:

I did find some interesting data in the following tables, but not evidence how the deletion occurred:

    • /UI2/PB_C_PAGEM
    • /UI2/PB_C_PAGE
    • /UI2/PB_C_CHIPM
    • /UI2/PB_C_TM

Thanks again for your help, very much appreicated

    Thanks,

    Michael
