Hi all,
is there any possibility in SAP Analytics Cloud to disallow users to upload own files (of any format) to the cloud, but still allow them to create and save private stories?
What I want is to deactivate this button for pubic and private folder. For public folder, I can simply deactive the creation of public files in the role and this button will be greyed out. But for private folder, deactivating the creation of private files also deactivate the ability of the user to create and save stories in their private folder.
Unfortunately, I do not believe this is possible. The upload of files and the creation of stories are both included in the same role assignment "create private files". If you remove the create role and leave only the read role then both the upload of files and creation of stories will be disabled. There is no way to limit the first without also limiting the second.
If you have a business need for this I suggest you post your enhancement request on the SAP Analytics Cloud customer influence site: https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/resources-support/customer-influence/.
Regards,
Peter
