Hello Experts,

In our SAP GRC Production System, We have been receiving a number of alerts / errors in the Application Log (SLG1) after our EAM Log Synchronization Jobs have completed.

This error occurs for all our plug-in systems connected to Central GRC System.

Although the error has no impact to business, we are trying to find out if its possible to prevent these "so-called" errors from appearing in the Application Log.

it only triggers an Error to say that there is an Error with the RFC connection, but when testing RFC's (Connection and Authorization tests) in Satellite system and Central System, no issues are found or errors returned.

The Error:

Error in RFC; 'Error when opening an RFC connection (LB: Hostname'

We have investigated Several Notes for this, all which are valid for Access Control 10.1.

Although we have now upgraded to Access Control 12.0 SP06 and have not been successful in resolving this.

Best Regards,

Leslie

Hi Leslie,

Looks like you have enable the parameter ID 4018 for detailed application logging. If you don't want to see then disable the parameter 4018.

Thanks

Hi Leslie.

I'm still in 10.1SP23, but is your GRCPINW plugin updated in this backend system with which you are having problems?

After a specific SP from GRC 10.1 (SP12, if I'm not mistaken) SAP begun to handle all messages received from the backend system during FF log collection as an error. If you have an outdated GRCPINW version it is still sending this "No firefighting sessions found" warning, which is now being incorrectly interpreted as an error.

Hi Leslie,

did you also tried testing the authorization of the RFC destination in the menu of tcode SM59?

Some authorization erros might occur.

Kind regards,

Yee-Tee

Hi Yee-Tee,

This was one of the first options we tried, and it seems the RFC connection test and Authorization test in SM59 is working okay.
