Production Order + Sequence Number + VIN --> FIFO

Hi

I would like to know is it possible to relate the sequence number given in Production order along with the VIN [serial number assigned to Production order]

1.Is it possible to make VIN@Serial number assigned in production order in adherence to FIFO logic so that Production person will be upfront intimated on the VIN that is allocated to the Production order header level to avoid FIFO logic.

2.In case when CM31 or CM25 is used to change the capacity at workcentre can this be used to validate the sequence number in relation ship with VIN@Serial number mapped to Production order.

Serial number is considered as VIN - Vehicle Identification Number.

Production order - user will map the VIN under serial number tab.

We are assigning the sequence number for the Production order in assignment tab.In case user is wishing to change the sequence number of the production order based on some changes in Production due to some reason in this situation can system handle ---> Production sequence + serial number + scheduling when user is trying to handle the scheduling at work centre level as sequence number is mapped at Production order level only.

Hello,

You can use the sequence number in order scheduling.

You have to define a sort key with field 'Sequence number' (CAUFVD-CY_SEQNR or AFVGD-CY_SEQNRV), and in dispatching production orders in transaction CM25, they can be sorted as per sequence number.

For that you need some kind of enhancement to update sequence number in production order base on your own logic.
