How to set execel to solid border when Crystal Reports for Eclipse export to ms excel


When generating the crystal report in excel format through Java SDK Crystal Reports for Eclipse sp25, There is no border of the excel with default, How to set the boder of the excel?

    Crystal exports to Excel have always been problematic for things like this.

    There are an option that might work for you.

    Format the fields on the report to draw borders like this:

    a. Top-left field: all four borders.

    b. Other top fields: top, right, bottom borders.

    c. Left fields in subsequent rows: left, bottom, right borders.

    d. Other fields in subsequent rows: bottom, right borders.

    Also, make sure that the Y value for location on all fields is 0 and that the bottom of each section is pulled up to the bottom of the fields.

    After that, you'll have to play with the Excel export formats to see what comes through correctly. For the "data only" export formats, you'll want to turn on the option to keep the formatting.
