Crystal exports to Excel have always been problematic for things like this.

There are an option that might work for you.

Format the fields on the report to draw borders like this:

    a. Top-left field: all four borders.

    b. Other top fields: top, right, bottom borders.

    c. Left fields in subsequent rows: left, bottom, right borders.

    d. Other fields in subsequent rows: bottom, right borders.

Also, make sure that the Y value for location on all fields is 0 and that the bottom of each section is pulled up to the bottom of the fields.

After that, you'll have to play with the Excel export formats to see what comes through correctly. For the "data only" export formats, you'll want to turn on the option to keep the formatting.

If this doesn't work for you, you may have to look at a third-party tool to do this. A good starting point for this is http://www.kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html
