Analysis for Office reports created on bex Queries running on SAP BO 4.2 SP 07

Hello All,

We have AFO (2.6 SP 03)reports created which are stored on BO 4.2 Sp 07 BI launchpad and the underlying queries are Bex queries created on SAP BW 7.4 version system.

Can you please let me know which services of CMC (or the APS services) are required for the analysis for office reports to run.

Currently we are observing the reports are running for more than 40 min to fetch the data and trying to analyse which parameters needs to be changed.

Wow...did you install the Analysis add-on to the BI platform?

What are the performance results when you run the BEx queries using transaction RSRT in the NW backend?

Hello Tammy,

the Analysis for office client tool is installed on the local machine and not where the actual BI platform is installed on the server

However, we have upgraded the BI platform from 4.1 to 4.2 Sp 07 post which users are complaining that the reports are running long as compared to pre upgrade of the BI platform.

Also, with 4.2 Sp 07 version, i have also enabled the caching functionality for Analysis runtime available in CMC

When i run the bex query from the back-end it generates output by 10 min
