Change in Requested Delivery Date Report

Is there any standard report to be able to see changes in the Requested Delivery Date field in the sales order (VBAK-KETDAT)?

I realise by accessing individual sales orders in Display Document Changes we are able to see changes to this field, however is there a way to do this on mass? Would a custom report be required for this purpose?

Other than using change documents I do not think that there is a standard way of obtaining this information.

It is probably also worth pointing out that if the requested delivery date was changed by the user before creating the order there won't be any change documents for this.

With AUT10 it is possible to get the changes to VBAK-VDATU (KETDAT which you mention is not in VBAK, it is in structure RV45A, the requested delivery date on header level is saved in VBAK-VDATU).

You need to switch to expert mode in AUT10.

Then it is a good idea to enter some date restriction (or, if you know for which orders you want to check specifically - enter the table keys for the change document). You specify also the following:

    Change document object = VERKBELEG

    Type of change = U

    Table name = VBAK

    Field name = VDATU

If you want to use table key for change documents - this is the concatenation of MANDT (client) and order number (VBAK-VBELN with leading zeros).

You do not need a custom report if a consultant is going to run this report. For business users - this is a different story.

Security is not my area of expertise, but my guess is that your colleagues from authorizations team will not agree to grant AUT10 to just anyone. On top of this, using the transaction correctly requires a certain level of knowledge, which is unrealistic to expect from business users.

Many thanks for your input, a customised report would be the way forward for business users.
