SAP MII vs SAP PO

Dear SAP,

I'm new to SAP world and still in the process of implementation.

One of my SI is recommending to use SAP PO instead of SAP MII as our integration layer to connect our MES to S/4 cloud instance (ST).

Please suggest is there any documentation describing the difference between the 2 products.
