KE30 and Cost Estimate

Dear CO Experts,

I have a question regarding value of material cost in KE30 and Cost estimate, is it always the same? because the value of material cost in CK40N doesnt reflect the value of material cost in KE30 Report, because currently my KE30 report of material cost is different with the material cost in CK40N, my company doesnt implement Material Ledger, and we use only CK40N to release the price monthly

Angga

KE30 report is summarizing transaction data which used cost from material master which existed at that time. Per your message CK40N is used to release costs every month. CK13N displays cost estimate depending on valid from date entered where it is likely showing the latest cost.

Hello angga.fico

The price in KE30 and CK40N for a material may or may not match.

Eg, your material is valuated on Price Indicator V. However, when CK40N is run, it updates the price in material master with a standard price. In this case, the KE30 will have different prices depending on the no of transactions, but the price from CK40N will be constant for that period till you run CK40N again for the next period. However, if your price indicator is S for FG, than in that case for a material if you are running CK40N every month and you have the transaction also in the same month, than yes, the price should ideally match. However, if there is a price change recorded in MR21, than there could be a variance as well.

Thanks & Regards,
