planning file entry not created even after material Movement.

Hello Gurus,

there is delivery created on 10.07.2020 for a material, the same is planned on 11.07.2020 (as shown in MRP list), later the delivery is processed on 15.07.2020(601 completed) but the material is not planned in any MRP runs( daily job), there is no planning file entry showing for this material.

MRP list is still showing 11.07.2020.so can you tell me is this a standard behavior or any inconsistency.

1. there is only one transaction after 11th that is processing the delivery which was considered in last MRP run

2.MD04 is not showing any other elements stock also 0.

need your help to understand whether system behaving as standard or any inconsistency.

Thanks & Regards,

KMK.

    Hello

When a goods issue is posted with reference to a sales document, on the exact quantity and on the planned date, it will not change the planning file. In this case, there is no change on the planning situation and the material won't have to be planned again.

You can change the setting "PFE Always" on transaction OMIY to define that every goods movement will set the planning file entry to avoid this issue in the future.

    Regards,
    Caetano

    Hello,

Is there any open requirement for this material net requirement calculation?

This could be also due to a planing file inconsistency.

In MRP job you can run first step is consistency check for planning file entries followed by MRP step.

    Hello Sir,

Thank you for the response , there is no Other MRP elements for the material stock is 0 .

as i understand planning file will be created for any master data changes and any transactions .

my client asking why MRP list is not updated after 11.07.2020 even after PGI of delivery .

the delivery is created on 10-07-2020, mrp run on 11.07.2020 updated the MRP list the delivery also considered.

15.07.2020 PGI is done with 601 for the same delivery. now client is asking why MRP run on

16-07-2020 or other days MRP jobs are not planned the material (MRP still list is showing 11-07-2020)

is planning file consistency run will correct the inconsistency.

    Thanks & regards,

    Mahesh Kumar.

    • Hello,

Please share screen shot of MD04 and MD05. If there is no MRP element why system will plan this material?

Also you can run the consistency check report RMMDVM10 (transaction MDRE) for planning file consistency check and check if it appear in this report.

    • Hello,

It is as per a behavior of standard SAP system.

Please refer to note 27153, that describes on how and when the flags for planning file entries are set against different scenarios.

27153 - Planning file entries from Inventory Management
