Hello Experts,

If we archive DBTABLOG table through BC_DBTABLOGS archiving object any table will effect ?

Like if we see DBTABLOG table list we can see table like mkpf,MARA,MARC.So if we archive DBTABLOG any effect those table main Transaction codes?

generally it is like any changes is happened particular t-code so that changes information will store in DBTABLOG table list.

Thanks & Regards,

Surya Kiran.

Definitely not, it will not impact the business transactions. DBTABLOG is mostly for audit purpose, to keep a tap on the table to changed, it does not contain any transaction data.

No impact if you archive DBTABLOG.

DBTABLOG consumed by logs for changes in a table.

If a Table has Technical setting 'Log Data change' on then such table start logging entries in this DATABLOG.

It has also recommended as part of archiving activity that if any table which is really does not need logging then turn off Technical setting on 'Log Data change'. (exc OSS 672503 ).
