Batch Determination issue in SAP PP

In a new SAP S4 System, I just tried to run Batch Determination for one of the components, I have done all required setting(batch class, selection class, sort rule, search strategy, assign the same to order type). When I create a process order and click BD icon didn't get results. bd1.jpgbd2.jpg . Please help on this.

    Hi,

Did you assign the batch entry (Manual batch determination required upon release of order, Automatic batch determination upon release of order) in the material master MRP 2 view?

Create and release the process order and test once again. If still not working I recommend chec the SAP documentation once.

    Hello,

Check the Log of batch determination or do the strategy analysis to check the selection criteria and batch classification.

Also make sure your batches are classified for Last Good Receipt date you can check that in MSC2N.

    • Hello,

OMCV setting for movement type help to batch classification, So if you activate batch 101 movement type CB classification of bath = 1 Classification Carried Out in Background (All Batches)

Then during MIGO good receipt of ROH material system will do the classification which can be seen in MSC3N.

Which will then used in batch determination.

As your question is answered then please close it.

    Hello Mohamed Ali Jinna J

You need to check batch stock availability e.g. in CO09 transaction. Your screen shot shows current batch stock levels whereas batch determination works on stock availability, which are not the same. It might be that your batches are already reserved or allocated thus making them not available.
