QM01 Error - Field 'Defect Type' must still be filled

Hello,

I want to create a new notification in QM01.

When we hit the save button, we get this message:

Field 'Deefect Type' must still be filled

Message no. IW464

Even i checked OIAL configuration, It is maintained correctly.

Hello,

Please go to customizing transaction OIAL and check:

1. Defect type VIQMFE-FECOD or VIQMFE-FEGRP is set as required;

2. Double click defect type field and make sure influencing field 'transaction code' is not set as required.

Please refer SAP KBA on it,

2781383 - IW464 - "Field 'notification type' must still be filled"

2334519 - IW464 - "Field 'Description' must still be filled" even when field is maintained

Hi Brahmankar,

Yes you are right..! influencing field 'Notification Type Z1' is set as required. I have changed it. now it is working fine.

Thanks for you reply. I set VIQMFE-FECOD or VIQMFE-FEGRP as required and RIWO00-TXTCDFE filed as input. But still same message.

What I have to check in this point?-> 2. Double click defect type field and make sure influencing field 'transaction code' is not set as required.

I have not said to make VIQMFE-FECOD or VIQMFE-FEGRP as required I just mean you need to check that.

For and RIWO00-TXTCDFE Double click on it make sure influencing field 'transaction code QM01' is not set as required.
