Certified Hardware for VM Amount of RAM

Hello,

We are planning on implementing SAP Business One for SAP HANA on a VM (VMWare VSphere) and looking at the certified hardware there is a column for how much ram the server has. Is this column how much ram the physical server can have or the amount certified for the SAP HANA VM?

Say the server is the Dell R640, The certifications are for 96GB, 192GB and 384GB. Can one have 256GB on the physical server and allocate the 192GB of ram for the VM or does the server has to have the 192GB to comply with the certification and the RAM is split from that total between the VMs?

Thank you.

The certified specifications that you have indicated are for S/4 HANA.

Are you using SAP Business One for HANA or S/4 HANA?

Thanks.

The certification is for SAP Business One For HANA.

There is a certification for SAP B1 for HANA for the model i mentioned.

I just want a clarification whenever the memory mentioned is for the HANA instance or for the whole server.
