Confirmed quantity in today's date and order quantity in future date in sales order schedule line

IDOC is failing with the below Error:

Field VBEP-WMENG (1) is not an input field

Message no. 00347

Then i processed the IDOC in foreground and found the reason of the issue while determining the schedule line IDOC is failing.

I found that the schedule line is proposing in strange way, The confirmed qty is proposing in today's date and order qty proposing in future dates.

Ex:

Delivery Qty Order Qty Rounded Qty Confirmed Qty

03.08.2020 200

13.08.2020 2000 2000

Please suggest how to correct it.

It could be due to several reasons and most probably, it could be an authorization issue. The user who process the Idocs would not have authorization for updating that particular field with Activity 05, 06, C8 and classic activity 01, 02, 03

On the other hand, system will trigger this error (message no.00347) if the related field is suppressed in customizing.

So first in that angle, start your analysis to find out the root cause of the issue.

Please post a screenshot of the schedule lines, it is difficult to understand the problem, because the columns are shifted when you enter them in the question as text.

Also, the statement that there is confirmed quantity on today's date does not seem to be true, now it is July and both dates in your example are fro August.

It is also important to specify on what version you are currently on - there are quite a few notes for the same message in the support portal, but it is hard to suggest any without knowing what is currently implemented in your system.

I assume that this is an IDOC for order change, if this is not the case - please clarify.

There can be various reasons why a specific field is not modifiable - some are related to custom code. I hope that you have eliminated this already as a potential root cause, if not - do this before proceeding with further investigation of the IDOC issue.

Other reasons can be SAP standard logic - for example, you cannot modify schedule lines if the item is rejected, you cannot also modify a schedule line order quantity if the schedule line is a result of rescheduling like this one:

The standard logic for making sales order fields not available for input is in program MV45AFFE_FELDASUWAHL_STATUS. Very useful information for troubleshooting why you cannot edit a specific field can be found in note 208245 - Availability of fields in sales orders.

By the way, there are some recently updated notes in the support portal for the same error in IDOCs. Did you already search there for a solution? If yes - what was the outcome of your investigation?
