Restrict in production order release if there is no serial assigned to Production order.

Dear All,

I have a Business requirement where I am having a custom production order type. User requirement is if there is no serial number assigned to the production order the production order should not be released. The restriction should only to this particular order type. They want to restrict this with material level.

From my understanding we can able to restrict production order release without serial number with serializing procedure, but this is material level. Here I want to restrict this only to a particular order type.

Is there any option.

Hello,

You can use BAdi WORKORDER_UPDATE with your own logic to restrict the production order release if there is no serial assigned to production order based upon order type.
