Crystal Reports Viewer (CRV) 9 Upgrade path to CRV 14

Our legacy application uses Crystal Reports Viewer 9 (CRV) to view reports. We would like to upgrade CRV v9 to CRV v14. Is there an upgrade path so that "crviewer9.dll" will work with CRV 14 (with code changes). The hope that CRV 14 supports ActiveX controls and changes can be made to register and use CRV 14.

Please let me know if there is an upgrade path or a best practice link in Q&A to help flatten he learning curve for this endeavored?
