Crystal Reports Viewer (CRV) 9 Upgrade path to CRV 14

Our legacy application uses Crystal Reports Viewer 9 (CRV) to view reports. We would like to upgrade CRV v9 to CRV v14. Is there an upgrade path so that "crviewer9.dll" will work with CRV 14 (with code changes). The hope that CRV 14 supports ActiveX controls and changes can be made to register and use CRV 14.

Please let me know if there is an upgrade path or a best practice link in Q&A to help flatten he learning curve for this endeavored?

Thank You

  • Hi, Kevin:

Thank you for visiting SAP Community to get answers to your questions. Should you wish, you can revise your question by selecting Actions, then Edit (although once someone answers your question, you'll lose the ability to edit the question -- but if that happens, you can leave more details in a comment).

Finally, if you're hoping to connect with readers, please consider adding a picture to your profile. Here's how you do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5JdUbyjfMA&list=PLpQebylHrdh5s3gwy-h6RtymfDpoz3vDS. By personalizing your profile with a photo of you, you encourage readers to respond.
