Filter Account OVS dynamically based on custom logic

Hello Experts,

We have created a custom PDI field with name Distributor and added the standard account OVS to it. We have the requirement to filter the results in the value help based upon the Sold to Party's Territory relationship 'Has the Distributor'. Basically only the distributors who are assigned to the Account's territory should be visible in the value help. Some scripting would need to be done for this and direct parameter filtering won't work. Does C4C support this enhancement of filtering ? Can this be achieved via ABSL script or Ruby script ?

Thanks saurabh.kabra. I wanted to avoid custom OVS, have achieved this via adding a relationship to the customer 'Has Distributor' and then passing related parameters to inport for filtering results. It is working for my case. I think we should have more flexibility in C4C to extend standard.

Hi,

In order to achieve your business case you need to pass the field (Distributor) to OVS InPort BUT currently, It not possible to enhance existing standard OVS InPort to include a new InPort parameter (in your case Distributor) for filtering results based on custom field. Hence you need to create a new custom OVS to filter the results based on custom field.
