Can we TECO a Work Order if there are open Purchase Requisitions

Dear All,

System is not allowing us to TECO a Work Order(IW32), when i checked there are open Purchase Requisitions.

1)Can ony one confirm if there are open Purchase Requisitions in Components Tab,are we not able to TECO a Work Order.

2) How to close these Purchase Requisitions so that we can TECO the Work Order.

Hi - you cannot TECO an item with open purchase requisitions because the system expects those to become purchase orders and you can't create purchase orders in TECO status.

Thanks alot for your immediate reply.

1)So, can i close the Purchase Requisitions if i do not need these components and then i can TECO the Work Order.

2) Can i convert these Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders, then system will allow me to TECO the work order though i do not perform Goods Receipt against the Purchase Order.

Please confirm.

Thanks a lot for replying to me. Actually we have an custom program checking for goods movements, that is why we are facing problem.

If the PRs have not been converted to POs then when you TECO the order these PRs have a deletion flag assigned (so they cannot be used for POs).

If you revert back to REL status, then the deletion flags on the PRs are removed and they become active again.

Even if POs are assigned to the PRs, then you can still set TECO.

What error message/number are you getting?

Hi Pete

Thanks a lot for your inputs. I had deleted the components in the Components Tab and all the PRs set to Deletion flag.

Still i am not able to set TECO to the Work order.

Can you please suggest me what is that stopping me not to set TECO to work order.
