We'd like to send weekly reports as e-mails with an excel file attached.
The reason we can't use Broadcasts is that we want to send the emails based on Business Role, not user-specific.
We'd like to know if it is possible to create an excel file in the PDI side with the fields (queries) we want.
1 - Is it possible to enhance the broadcast work center?
2 - Is it possible to extract reports (with PDI) created in Business Analytics work center?
3 - Is there another way to export an excel with using PDI?
Hi,
Based on my experience you cannot generate an excel in PDI but instead, you can generate a CSV for data export.
Also, there is no way to enhance broadcasting recipient scope to the business roles instead of the business user. BUT you can utilize the "Attribute For Email" field where you can pass a dummy field that contains email address of some DL (Distribution List) and then the system can send out the email to everyone within that email DL.( This DL will contains everyone from desired business role)
If you want to access the report data within PDI then SAP don't expose a direct object to access reporting data within ABSL script. Rather you need to build an Odata Query from UI for that report or data source and then call the same odata via ABSL to retrieve the reporting data within ABSL.

Dear Saurabh,
Thank you for your answer and your good workaround.
HI tokgozatakan / saurabhkabra2009
We have created a custom facet with editable fields in the accounts work list and having an EXPORT option to download the fields. But the KUT fields alone are not getting downloaded. Any idea what the issue could be? Please suggest what should be done to download the KUT fields as well
