SAP Note/KBA is being updated (but it istn't!)

Hi fellow SAP professionals...

Since yesterday I get "The SAP Note/KBA you were trying to reach is currently being updated." message for every note I try to display with my personal S-ID. However, I know this is not the case because I have access to a customer's S-ID and I can see the same notes.

My personal S-ID is the "external customer" type (independent consultant). Iv'e had it for years and it's always worked for simple things like displaying notes.

Wondering if other people are having the same issue and know the cause.

Hi Carlos,

I reached out to some colleagues of mine to see if they can help.

Can you please name some KBAs/Notes in the meantime where you ran into this issue?
Do you have other colleagues you could ask to test to see if this is still related to your S-User ?

Hi Carlos,
You are not the only one with this problem! I have same issue since yesterday. Every single SNotes I try to check has this "Sorry" message that it's currently being updated. When my colleagues try to display the same SNotes, it's working.

I already tried different browsers, emptying the cache, updating the certificate. Still I'm getting the same message.

Thank you for your replies.

I have at least one other colleague that told me he had the same issue, but I don't know his ID.

Here are some of the notes that I tried to open: 440231, 1156507, 2346367, 2112153 .

Hi Ervin,

I too have the same problem. I am not able open the notes with my S-user ID. The message "'I am getting is SAP Note being updated" when I tried to open any note.

Hello Ervin,

I also have the same issue. I am not sure if this helps, but in my case both my accounts (from my company and a client) sharing the same email address get this message. A colleague that has an S-id for the same client as above has no issue.

Could that be somehow related to the SAP Universal ID launched last week?

yes, it is likely related to the launchpad update, Customer Interaction Center is already working on it.

I'am too facing this issue since last week. Surprisingly for ALL SAP KBAs . Something seriously broken

Yep, exactly the same issue; haunting for past 2 days or so. My independent S-User Id fails, only an older S-User Id from my customer works. It's a shame that most of my browsers and password managers have my personal id credentials tied-up and so defaulting that. Only hiccup, I need to change that every time. Let's hope to see CIC is fixing that at the earliest.

Hi Everyone,

Small update: SAP is aware and a fix will be delivered in the Thursday transport. This affects S-Users that do not have any authorizations assigned. As a workaround for now, any authorizations assigned to the affected S-User will enable SAP Note/KBA access.

Hi Ervin,

Thanks for the update, what to do if same issue persists ? I tried to created Incident but no luck as all authorizations lost. Could you help with procedure to contact and get issue resolved ?

SAP seems to have updated the launchpad. Now all S-Users which have no special authorization assigned don't have viewer rights anymore to SNotes. Just assign ANY (!) authorization and it works again.
