Not able to upload Legacy Asset through AS91

Dear Experts,

We already have SAP ECC 6.0 from last 8 years.

now we are going to rollout some plants in 31-Jul-2020, but we are facing an issue to upload legacy asset through AS91

Currently we have following settings in our system:

Asset Takeover date for legacy data transfer is 31.03.2020

Last Closed Fiscal Year is 2018 (OAAQ)

When we going to create an asset through AS91 , system is giving following message:

Transfer on last day allowed only in closed fiscal year

Message no. AU262

Diagnosis

In company code 1000, the legacy data transfer date 2019 (the last day of fiscal year 31.03.2020) has to be the last day in a fiscal year that is already closed.

Procedure

Change the transfer date or close the fiscal year.

We cannot close fiscal year 2019 in AA right now as business have some pending entries in AA in FY 2019.

How we can approach further to upload asset legacy balances upto 31-mar-2020.

Hi - in a sandbox, you can close the fiscal year, do the AS91, and then reverse close the fiscal year for the pending 2019 entries using transaction OAAQ

Uh, there isn't much to comment on other than to read the error message. Either you close the FY or you change the takeover date back to 2019. Left or right, but you have to choose a direction.
