Translating Excel query into flat file(.CSV)

Hi,

I have a requirement where i need the Excel Queries to be displayed in Flat file(.CSV) format.

To be more clear i have an excel query but my client requires this query to be displayed in a Flat file format. Can someone explain me how i can acheive this.

    Hi,

    In Web reporting we have the option of downloading the report output to .csv format.

    and in Bex,just save the output file with extension of .csv..

    i.e. >file>save as...>xxxx.csv (where xxxx is file name ) and select 'Save as Type' as CSV(Comma delimited) from drop down box.

    Hi Priya,

    Welcome to SDN

    Have you tried saving the output of the query in .csv format on the local desktop on which the query is executed. I think it should work give it a try.

    Options might depend on what release you're at.

    If you are at 3.5, there was a note - think it is with SP 14, perhaps 15. That adds csv as an output option of Information Broadcasting.

    At 3.1 you could look at using Openhub/Infospoke.

    hi priya,

    file>save as

    file name xxxx

    save as type csv(Ms-dos)

    and say save.

    that's it.
