How to enable or disable amount field in conditions tab in VA01

Hi All,

I got an requirement to enable the amount fields(KOMV-KBETR) for manual condition(KOMV-KSCHL) type 'ZSOW' for particular user alone, and to disable it for all other users, in condition tabs in VA01.

As it is new manual condition type, it is enable for all the users to enter the amount field.

Kindly suggest me different ways for achieving this...

Thanks in advance!!...

The simplest solution is to use two separate condition types: one where you cannot modify the amount field and one where the amount field is modifiable. This part of the requirement can be achieved via configuration, no development effort needed. Optionally, you can configure condition exclusion between these two condition types (after discussing with the business, of course)

The next part is to restrict the use of the second condition type via authorizations as described in note 105621 - Authorization check for the condition screen.

But, seriously, I looked at your past questions. It seems that you are a developer, but you do not get proper specifications from the functional consultants and you turn to the community to help you out. While it is nice to have alternatives when you are struggling with a problem, it is about time that you insist on receiving good specifications from your colleagues. It is one thing to help someone who needs just a bit of help and it is another story to do somebody else's job for free just because they are lazy or have no clue how to perform their tasks (I mean the people who should have provided you with documentation on what you are supposed to do).
