Version Management

Dear Gurus,

I am a new comer to this forum and a beginner in SEM-BPS. I would like to know how version management is handled in BPS especially when both top-down & bottom up planning is used. How do we track and keep control on the version numbers and how is determined and allocated.

    Let me try to explain, version has a different meaning it's a characteristic 0VERSION that is added to the cube and with this we can maintain different values for it. But for one planning run that can be a rolling forecast, business plan or simply quarterly review the value will be same for all the data then only the overall picture can be presented.

    For your requirement you can come with a concept of working version W01, W02 .. and once the plan is approved copy all the data from the final version to one single version. This is just a suggesion, I am not sure as to how this will be implemented.
