Hello Community,
I need help with setting up model privacy with Live Data Connection. I have found how to do it in multiple different ways when it is not live data connection (https://www.sapanalytics.cloud/videos/apply-model-privacy/), so I'm wondering how can I do some of that with live data.
Thank you!
Kind Regards,
Marko
Hi Marko,
The benefit of using the Live connection (amongst other benefits of course) is that it uses the authorization defined in the data source. So for instance, if you create a live HANA connection, the authorization of the user (in this example via analytic privileges and in BW for instance with roles) that is defined in the connection will be taken into account. If you set up the connection with SAML SSO this will be dynamic for each user that opens a story.

Hi Martijn,
Thank you for your response!
If I understand you properly, I need to do a user restriction in SAP HANA (since calculation view from there is my Data Source for SAC Model) instead of doing that in SAC itself.
Is it possible to create a role in SAP HANA that will have access only to certain values of a specific field?
For example - I want the user to see only the values from its own Legal Entity.
If you have any links with documentation I would really appreciate that.
Thank you again!
Kind Regards,
Marko
Hi Marko,
Yes, that's correct. Please look at the following documentation:
