Fulfilly sales order regardless quantity

Hi all,

I've a question about MRP sales order fulfillment system.

Let's use the following example:

Standard sales order quantity for a specific product = 100

Production batch size = 90

The rule is that a sales order is fulfilled by a single batch, regardless quantity.

How should I manage it to run correctly MRP?

I mean, imagine you have three sales order (total quantity 300 pieces) and one already available batch at stock (total quantity 90 pieces) plus one production order (standard batch size, so 90 pieces).

If you run the MRP it will create two planned orders (fixed lot size, because we MUST always procuce standard batch size): 300 - 90 - 90 = 120 --> 120/90 = 1,3, which means two planned orders.

It would be wrong because our rule that ONE batch totally fulfills ONE sales order. So, I'd like to teach to MRP to create, in this case, only ONE sales order, because the first two orders have been already totally fulfilled by Stock and Production order.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Federico
