Hi Community,
I'm interested to find out how people are handing Personal Bookmarks when releasing new versions of Stories in SAP Analytics Cloud. We have a number of Public Stories which are subject to new releases every so often. The challenge we have though, is that when the new release goes in, users have to recreate all of their Personal Bookmarks. We initially thought that doing a "Save As" with "Overwrite" from the new Story to the old Story would preserve Bookmarks ... but it doesn't.
Has anyone else faced this challenge? Are there any other suggestions other than having to recreate after every release?
Thanks.
Hi Mark,
I always advise customers to work with two separate tenants and use either the content network or a manual export/import content. On the dev/test tenant, you enhance the existing story. After it has been successfully validated you can import this story into the production tenant and the personal bookmarks are retained due to the fact that the story maintains the same object ID.
Kind regards,
