Subscription Mails

Hi,

We've created a folder in KM and subscribed some portal users so that they'll be mailed about updates. It is working well. But, mainly our users are accessing portal via internet and in subscription mails, links are targeted to internal portal ip.

for examle:

INTERNAL PORTAL (real IP): http://<internalhostname>.<domain>:50000/irj/portal

EXTERNAL PORTAL (Reverse Proxied): http://<externalhostname/subdomain>.<domain>/irj/portal

-As users who subscribed generally from external, how can we change the address, that subscriptions are linked?

-Also, is there any way to use both (internal address for internal users, External address for external users)?

Hi Huseyin,

This address is controlled by URL Generator service: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7d/236cfa17034a37a439dc392ec59eb0/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/7d/236cfa17034a37a439dc392ec59eb0/frameset.htm</a>

Change Host field here and you will get it in messages.

The best practice here is to make the DNS address the same on external and internal DNS servers. You should also match the port. It can be done using HTTP Provider Service: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5b/82d3c3ee9691418e6b0281f933a37d/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/5b/82d3c3ee9691418e6b0281f933a37d/frameset.htm</a>.

Regards,

Sergei
