J3AV change master grid

Hello Expert

Is there any possible to change the demesion of 2nd characteristic in J3AV, There are some business data for the master grid. Is it possible to make a deletion flag for it， and then archive the grid, and then conver related material to Stanard material? then conver it back to use a new master grid?
