Creating destination for S/4 HANA cloud SOAP API(Cloud Foundry) in SCP(Neo subaccount)

Hi,

I am trying to create a destination for S/4 HANA cloud SOAP API(Cloud Foundry) in SCP(Neo subaccount).

I am doing the same way like other ODATA services. But I am getting 415 error only for SOAP API's while accessing them in Web IDE.

It is a standard API in SAP API Business Hub.

Help is appreciated!!

Thanks,

Surendra.

    Hi Surendra Pamidi,

Unfortunately the destination API doesn't officially support the SOAP protocol.

This means that you could use it to store the endpoint, but you cannot use any of the SAPUI5 libraries to call your service. Once you get the destination end-point you could use jQuery to perform the call to your soap service.

I would suggest you do this in a Java application as I had several issues with header variables that gets blocked by the destination service on an HTML5 application. It will all depend on how the SOAP service "expects" to be called.

    Here are some references:

Using the SCP HTTP Proxy in Java to perform HTTP requests directly:

You could also leverage the API Managament Service to perform the SOAP to REST translation:

Or even by using the Open Connectors:
