i am facing a challenge of design a payback solution in SD
Background
- Customer can join the partner program (like a membership)
- According to sale volumn, partner get the points e.g. 100 $ = 1pt
- points will be managed in our CRM system and updated via data from BI, so every partner has an point account in CRM
- with points partner can purchase special products or services in ERP (ERP communicate withCRM to get the current status of points)
- after the purchase, the points will be deducted accordingly in CRM
Question:
- how we treat "points" in SD, is this a new currency? dummy material ?
- how we build the sales process invoiced/calculated with points instead of normal currency ?
- we may enable customer to buy "points" with real $, this also need to be considered.
