Show specific hierarchy level in BEx

Hi all,

I want to build a query ( let say ) per cost centre in rows. Cost centre has 5 levels and I want to show only Level 2. When I go to cost centre and hierarchy tab in BEx, there is standard option under Display of Nodes "expand to Level 2" but it is showing me Level 1+ Level 2. Is there a way to show only Level 2 without showing upper node ?Please note that I can not add all level-2 members one by one ( like a constant selection in rows) since I will need to update the report when a new Level 2 member comes in the future.

Thank you

You can create for this a characteristic with the hierarchy type 'Own Implementation' (virtual hierarchy). Check note 2131675 - Sets as a virtual BW hierarchy for characteristic InfoObject modeled by customer: Example implementation

    Also check

Or simply create several hierarchies and use a variable to select the one you need in the report.
