How to update Text object FEATURE, Text ID VALU?

Hello,

We have a delivery output which uses several lines of text from CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT', id = 'VALU', object = 'FEATURE', name = [doc no.] I suspect this could be a characteristic value long text. How can the user update it?

In case anyone has the same issue, I solved it with the following procedure -

1.Execute transaction CL02, enter class [class name], class type 001 (material class), enter, click on the Char. tab, select TECHNICAL NAME, click button “Overwrite Values”

2.if necessary select Optional Extras>>Change language …

3.Select relevant Char. Value line, click button “Documentation for value”

4.Edit text as required, click ‘Back’ and ‘Save’
