relation between Storage location and warehouse in S4HANA

Would you explain the relation between a storage location and a warehouse in S4HANA ? if a certain material type ( spare parts for example ) is stored and distributed over 4 different buildings, would that be 4 storage locations ? and how many warehouses ?

how to aggregate the inventory report ? is it per location or per material type in that case ?

Hi Ahmed,

Both Sloc and WH (LE-WM or S4Hana / SCM EWM) are part of SAP org structure, whereas an sloc can be managed by WH or just under IM.

A material / product inventory can be aggregated in IM with standard reports s.g. MMBE with multiple slocs:

in EWM with bin stock overview s.g. /SCWM/MON

If the aggregation requirement is for a material type, it could be achieved in IM with MB52: you enter selection of material type and the results will be aggregated.

in EWM there's no similar report as i understand.
