Issue while executing a SAP Store automation: Post Goods Movement (4FP)

Hi All,

I am facing an issue while executing SAP Store automation: Post Goods Movement (4FP).

When, I execute the process, the job gets completed in 2 seconds with status: "Successful". However, on checking the logs, there is an error: "Failed in initial system access due to incorrect credentials/system URL or the System server may be down and not responding at the moment"

The error occurs when the process performs an AJAX call to the S4HANA server to fetch details from an OData service.

I have completed the following troubleshooting steps so far:

1. Checked the configurations and variables are maintained as per the config guide in the package.

2. Checked that the URL being passed is accessible by the credentials on an internet browser.

3. Checked that the OData service is active.

4. Replicated the issue in both Attended and Unattended mode.

Lastly, I have been searching the community to see if anyone else has faced such an issue. However, I am unable to find any concrete results so far.

Could you please guide me as to the next series of checks that I should perform to troubleshoot the issue.

Do let me know in case you have faced such an issue in the past and how did you resolve the same.

Thanks.

Best Regards,

Rohit Singhal

    Hi Chuck,

    Thanks for your response.

I have set the parameters as per the documentation maintained in the SAP Store for this package.

    Document Name: 4FP_IPA10_BPD_EN_XX.docx

Based on this I have set the following parameters: See attachment: PGM1.jpg

The only changes I have made are:

    1. In the system URL, since we have not masked our URL, the URL is of the pattern: https://<hostname>:<port>/sap/opu/odata/sap

    2. As I am creating a POC, we currently do not have a communication user, so I have used my own user id instead of an id with pattern: COMM_USER_XXXX

I am able to access the URL being called in the AJAX call, when I try on the browser using my credentials.

Error screenshots: See attachments 1.jpg, 2.jpg

Please let me know if there is any further checks I can do at my end.

    Best Regards,

    Rohit Singhal

    Hi Rohit,

Can you please provide me the more information about your variable settings in order to do further investigation?

    Hi Rohit,

My first observation about the possible error you have in your variable value is SYSTEMURL_ODATA.

The pattern is https://<hostname>/sap/opu/odata/sap; (the port is not required)

    for example, https://myXXXXXX.s4hana.ondemand.com/sap/opu/odata/sap

BTW, you can also create a SAP BCP incident under the component CA-ML-IPA-S4 for better development support.

    Regards,

    Chuck

    • Hi Srinivas,

      Thanks for your response.

The issue was resolved after I raised an incident with SAP.

SAP have since then released a newer version of the automation, where they have created a new variable for maintaining the system call.

The other issue was that the AJAX call needed a technical user instead of dialog user in order to complete end to end run of the automation.

      Best Regards,

      Rohit
