How much time is required to convert BW on HANA Objects to BW4HANA Objects

Dear experts,

I need your help. We are upgrading our system from BW on HANA 7.5(SP09) to BW4HANA 2.0(SP03).

We have already listed out the objects for which manual efforts are needed. SAP Transfer tool kit will migrate the rest of existing objects to relevant BW4/HANA objects . So how much amount of time do we need to provide our support during such automatic conversion? Do we have any statistics known, say for around 50 DSOs, the system takes 2 hours to convert them to ADSOs, like that?

Thanks in advance.

  • Hi Babu,

Please clarify below things before someone can help you.

    1. What path you're taking to BW4HANA? In-place conversion/Remote conversion/Shell Converion?

    2. When you say support during conversion. Please specify what role you're going to perform?

Efforts are always on actual Inventory and volume of data

    Regards,

    Prakash K

    Dear Beginner

This is hard to predict as you probably can imagine. there a different factors like OS, Disk I/O, Size of the Objects, is SAP-NLS used, etc.

So start with some Objects and use this to build your own estimation for you own setup
