I am sure many of customers are facing this issue & your solution to this thread will help many :-)
Workaround :
To overcome 80 Character limitation, can we create a custom field on Material Master & extend it to Service Master also to capture description more than 80 Character.
Field on both masters will have different description & will flow to respective document till Customer Invoice.
Next :
If Yes, Request setting snapshot of newly created text field? & extension scenario by which new description can be printed on Outbound DC & Customer Invoice? Similarly for details maintained in Service Master of same field.
Documents responsible for flow of data.
& Finally, mapping the field on Delivery Note & Customer Invoice.
