In one of our BusinessObjects 4.2 systems the Support Tool report on Platform Search flags up two of our queues with this message.
"A document should only exist in one queue at a time and naturally flow from queue 1 to 6 during the indexing cycle. If more than 50 documents exist in a queue, this could mean there is a bottleneck and processing has stopped within one of these queues. In the event this occurs, analyze the APS Search server's trace files for more information."
Two of the queues in our system, #1 the "To Be Extracted Queue" and #5 the "Delta Index To Be Merged Queue" are both showing over 50 documents. #1 is stuck at 100 documents, while #5 has grown each time the report is run. The message says to analyze the APS Search trace file. What is it we should be looking for in these files? What are the common causes of this kind of issue?
