Visual Composer 7.0 installation

Hi,

I want to install visual composer 7.0, I came to know that it does not need any ms sqlserver database and runs on portal j2ee engine.

I downloaded all the files for VC 7.0 from service market place.

Can any body please guide me how to install it on portal.

I am using

portal ver 6.0.11.2.0 and

j2ee engine 6.40 PatchLevel 89291.313

is it possible to install vc 7 on ep6?

The files i downloaded are .sca files. how to install these files on portal? which files i should instal?

Hi Siddharth,

VC 7.0 will be coming with EP 7.0 in Netweaver 2004s.

So I think VC 7.0 installation is not possible on EP 6.0.

By the way, do you have the installable files for VC 7.0? They are not available yet in the SAP Service MarketPlace. If you have it, from where can we download those installable files?

I got the files from service marketplace.

go to service.sap.com > downloads > Search for all catagories > Search with "VISUAL COMPOSER 7.0"

That's correct: VC07 design time cannot run on EP 6.0. Although we will have iViews, designed with VC07 runable on EP6.0. still you have to create them with a VC7.0 on Portal 7.0

The installation guide are available on <a href="https://service.sap.com/instguides/">Service Marketplace</a> (YOU MUST USE YOUR Service Marketplace login). Navigate to:

SAP NetWeaver
    Release 04 (or 2004s)
        Installation
            SAP VC

If you do not see these paths, it is because your user id is not authorized to access the content.

Hi,

We were told here that VC7.0 is still on Ramp Up only until end of July 2006 (it will be made available then with NW04S SPS08).

So until then, unless you are officially on the Ramp Up program from VC7.0, you won't be able to see all the required documentation or software.

The problem with this search is that you've found individual Support Package Stacks inside NW2004s SPS07.

SPS07 is in restricted shipment status and isn't supported. You should wait for SPS08 which is planned for alendar week 26, 2006. Please review the official notice at:
