PP MRP Seasonal VS

Hello experts,

I am trying to generate a seasonal MRP scenario type VS, but when I do the planning run (MD03), no action occurs.

Although the configuration (OMDQ) tells me that there is no need to preview the material, during execution it asks for it to be done. However, even when I make the forecast, nothing happens. What am I doing wrong ?

Could you help me to simulate a scenario? Thank you.

MM03 - MRP 1

MM03 - MRP 2

OMDQ - VS

MD27

The calendar 002 is not relevant, u can use anyone.

Hello,

You planning calendar is valid until 30.06.2020 and you have forecast until period 09.2020.

So please extend the planning calendar validity in future ex - 30.06.2022 and then re-execute forecast and MRP run.

And the check message 61059: 'Please carry out forecast for material & in plant appears or not.

Best Regards

Hello Brahmankar, thanks for your answer.

Yes, I ended up noticing this, but even expanding to 2022, nothing happened either.

Hello,

Could you please test this scenario without planning calendar?

Means remove planning calendar from MRP view and then re-execute forecast and MRP.

Best Regards,

Hello,

I can't, because for use time-phased, the system need that I enter a planning cycle.

Message no. M3595

I did some tests and I realized that if I change some of the parameters in OMDQ it works normally.

Forecast indicator = "+" or check "Time-phased w. Reqs"

Otherwise (if I'm not mistaken), it seems to be based on information related to MARA-SAISJ.That makes sense ?

If you check the flag "time-phased with reqs", forecast won't be considered and it will work like an MRP type PD, but with a period cycle, so the behavior will be slightly different.

It seems that you do have a forecast, therefore, you should not see this error and I'm wondering if this is not an inconsistency in the forecast tabs. Can you please try using a new material?

I did it, but it didn't work either.

My question is, do you know where the system is check on the forecast, if in the OMDQ I parameterize that there will be no forecast? I believe this is the error.

Because if he is asking me for a forecast, but it is not from the material master, I believe there must be another one.

We can only tell if we check the code execution in debug. You can use tip proposed in the following blog to stop the program exactly when the error message is triggered and check where it is coming from:

Hello Caetano,

Thanks and sorry for the delay.

Yes, I did it some days ago. The message appears after execute the FM "MATERIAL_READ", and the system checks if the fields MARA-SAISO and MARA-SAISJ have value.

After this, the error appears.

that's why I think the forecast he is talking about (when the parameters in the OMDQ are "No forecast") is another forecast, other than the one in the master material.

Hello

You are running a time-phased MRP type, which means that you first need to create the forecast tabs in the material master and then run the forecast for your material.

If you don't want to use a forecast, but still want to use time-phased MRP, you can create a custom MRP Type as a copy of VS and check the flag time-phased w. reqs.

By the way, what is your business requirement to use time-phased MRP? I usually prefer to use a regular MRP type PD and lot-sizing PK when I need to have deliveries in specific days of the week.

Caetano

Hello

You are running MRP for June, but the picture only shows a forecast as of July.
Did you also forecasted the values for June?

Ps.: Yes, I'm from Brazil!
