Make to Order Material Value in Material Master

Dear All,

In my business process, we have a plastic division, where every order is a make to order, team run the cost estimate at sales order level, so system deliver the cost at SO level but nothing update in the material master.

So far process is going well.

But in a return case when user create sales return and make return delivery no value is updated, as there is no value in the material master, how we cater this scenario, MR21 solution is available but I believe this is the last option we can you.

Hi,

You can enter the price at the time of return sales order creation and the same to be copied to the delivery item. Another way is maintain the price in material master and during delivery processing price updated from material master.

It is not clear what your configuration is. Normally, in MTO scenario, for return order process, system will treat as a special stock and look for sale order stock in which case, return delivery cannot be created. So in MTO scenario, you need to change the configuration in such a way to receive the rejected goods as a normal sales return.

As you know,

• the normal stock would get updated in MBEW table
• the SO stock would get updated in EBEW table

and having said that, if you create return sale order with standard item category REN, then, the corresponding value would get updated in MBEW table
