Dear Community, in the old BEx Analyzer days it was possible to create a folder in the "Save Workbook" Dialog when saving a workbook to the BW platform. However, this function seems to have been disappeared with Analysis for Office. Could someone share some light on this? So far, I could not find something in the guides, notes or other documentations. Thanks for your answers. Jens
Hi Jens - sorry for the delayed response.
Please see this blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2018/01/23/analysis-office-role-folder-in-sap-netweaver-platform/
and maybe this one as well if the first one does not work:

Dear Tammy, thanks a lot for your answer. I checked these blog posts, but we have already implemented this process (create menue roles in pfcg etc.). However the key users of our customer heavily used the functionality "Create new Folder" within the "Save Workbook as" pop-up window within BEx Analyzer when saving workbooks on the BW platform. This functionality seems to have been deprecated in AO (we migrate to 2.8). So my interest lies in finding the right source of documentation that states that this functionality does not exist any longer in AO (for whatever reason). Thanks and best regards Jens
It just seems that some UI-functionality from the BEx Analyzer (like creating folders in roles, publishing objects to Roles) has been deprecated with AO. I did not find any documentation so far that fully describes such "BEx gaps". However, the workaround to the above mentioned problem could just be to use the BEx Query Designer (with the right authorizations) to create folders. Other than that the process in the answer provided above just works fine.
