SU25 Steps in Greenfield Implementation (Migration from ECC)

We are following Greenfield implementation for migrating to S4 HANA from ECC. And we are also transporting all the roles from ECC to S4HANA. In this case what is the best way to execute the SU25 steps. Is it compulsory to execute step 1 and then step 2 also in this case or can we transport the USOBT_C and UCOBX_C from ECC to S4HANA and continue with step 2. What will be the best approach in this situation. Please immediate response will be appreciated

Hi Ayushi

Are the ECC roles going to be fit for purpose with S/4HANA? How will Fiori Access be managed? Depending on quality of ECC build sometimes a fresh build can be better if you are having a greenfield system build.

That aside, I would be trying to adopt as much of the SU24 data from S/4HANA over the ECC current data - all the extra items that have been delivered in newer versions won't come from ECC system.

1. Complete Step 1 in S/4HANA

2. Identify the unique list of executables in your ECC roles

3. Compare your usobt_c and usobx_C tables between the ECC and S/4HANA for the executable list

4. Determine from the comparison which ones are different

5. Assess the differences and apply the ones you want to S/4HANA

6. Import your roles after and generate the profiles adjustments - you may have minimal differences if your analysis is done. You could also compare the executables to see if they existed

Cheers

Hi Colleen,

Thanks for the information.

Can you please provide me any way to find the obsolete t-codes and objects in S4 HANA for my existing roles from ECC. how can I find out the obsolete items in less time without the Simplification Item list.

If you go to Fiori Apps Library on front page you can do recommended apps and do import of tcodes for recommendations
