CR2016SP2
One user upgraded/moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and now cannot see the OLE image on the report as can be seen on other computers. I am not 100% certain of the environment on those other computers, as I have just been called in to look at the problem. I do, though, know that on my Windows 7 computer, the OLE image appears correctly. It also works on another Windows 10 computer that has CR2016SP5.
The OLE image path is extracted within the report's query, and that same computer can open the image if I copy the path as it also appears on the report and paste into Run: up pops the image in the Windows image editor/viewer.
Is there a particular file association required on the particular computer? Something else?
I also tried going for download of SP8 but to my surprise found that I have no way to download a service pack, being a small fish out here never having heard of an S-user before...blah,blah,blah.
It is very frustrating not being able to just download & install a service pack like I would be able to with any other, that is to say, normal, software meant for actual use by human beings:( Not that I can prove this is related, but I just wasted an hour or more trying to get an update so I could exclude insufficient support pack level as a cause of my woes.
