Creating a Technical User for Cloud Platform Integration (CF)

Thank you for your support always.

I try to create a Technical User for Cloud Platform Integration in Cloud Foundry and I have a question.

I referred the following blog to create one, This blog says to create technical user as P user from sap blog site (blogs.sap.com), but I already have my own S-user ID with my email address for sap blog and for SCP CF login.
https://blogs.sap.com/2018/08/17/creating-a-technical-user-for-cloud-platform-integration/

In this case, how should I create a Technical User for SCPI in CF?

I really appreciate for your advise.

Thank you and best regards,

Yuri Yasuda

Hi Yuri

You don't use P- and S-users to authenticate against endpoints in CPI on Cloud Foundry. Instead, you create so-called Service Keys, and user their clientid and clientsecret values as username and password when authenticating. It's a little bit more work, but the advantage is that you can create as many as you want.

This blog post by appalanaidu.uppada explains the details: Self-Service Enablement of Cloud Integration Service on Cloud Foundry Environment

Scroll down to section "7.Access Deployed Iflow Endpoint" and note that the first step is not needed if you are on the trial version.

Hi Morten,

Thank you for your reply and support.

It worked to set service key and call it as described in a blog you introduced. It was succeeded even from S/4HANA Cloud (Es.) Communication Scenario 'SAP_COM_0224'!

Thank you very much:)

Thank you and best regards,

Yuri

Hi Morten,

What is the authentication type we need to choose while creating process integration instance if we want to use client ID and secret as user ID & password for basic authentication? We are choosing "client credentials" as it comes default while creating the instance.

Mani
