How to enable Email Notifications in IBP 2005?

Hello,

Wondering if email notifications work now in IBP. Main use case for us is emails admins if an IBP Job fails.

I've looked at the following documentation but can't figure out how to enable "the tick box for emails" under user settings... for me the box is not present/available for selection. This is referenced here:

Like I mentioned, my ability to select email notifications is not avaliable... here is what i see:

Does anyone have any ideas or knowledge on how to enable this feature? Does it really exist?
