Workflow Emails not sent

Dear gurus,

Initially a user ID was created with a certain email (abc@xyz.com) and workflow was established. But after sometime the user was transferred / resigned from the company. Now we have update the email of a new user in SU01 (123@xyz.com)

but the workflow emails are still sent to the previous email.

Kindly guide how to fix this issue.
