Hello experts

Contact data is being uploaded via CSV. But a warning message is generated for the length of the data in a standard NAME_FIRST field.

Is it possible to increase the capacity or length of a standard field?

Hi Elio,

unfortunately this is not possible in SAP Marketing Cloud. You can only adjust the field length for Custom Fields.

Remember you can copy the value of your field to a Custom Field using a BAdI.

for Interactions you can use CUAN_IA_REVISE_FOR_IMPORT, for Interaction Contacts it should be CUAN_UPDATE_IC_ROOT.

Hi eliocentenob,

Unfortunately, there is a limit to length of Name Field and in standard you can enhance it.

You need to use a Custom Field instead if you really need more field length.
